Frost & Sullivan Honors Vigilant With Product Differentiation Excellence Award
MSSP award based on the findings of Frost & Sullivan's 2010 Best Practices research.
NEW YORK – June 8, 2010 – Based on the findings of its Best Practices research, Frost & Sullivan has awarded the 2010 North America Product Differentiation Excellence Award in the Managed Security Service Providers Market category to Vigilant LLC, a provider of on-site and managed IT security and IT risk monitoring solutions.

Recipients of this award are companies with the diligence, perseverance and dedication required to develop a successful business plan and excel in the increasingly competitive global marketplace.

“Frost & Sullivan’s recognition validates our ongoing work to help our customers reduce their risk and increase operational efficiency through intelligent, business-aware security monitoring,” said Alison Andrews, CEO, Vigilant.

Vigilant, with its Fusion for SIEM™ managed service, was measured against key competitors and their products. The defining criteria included the companies’ unique features and functionality, their ability to customize offerings according to clients’ needs, brand perception and the uniqueness of their product.

“This award is an influential recognition of Vigilant’s deep bench of SIEM expertise, and their innovative, scalable model for delivering SIEM best practices, combined with a high degree of customization, through a managed service model,” said Martha Vazquez, Research Analyst for Frost & Sullivan.

Fusion for SIEM helps companies achieve greater benefits from SIEM in a faster, more effective and cost-efficient manner, whether they have an existing SIEM solution, or are deploying one that has recently been purchased. The service includes an assessment of a customer’s existing security monitoring capabilities to determine how well they currently meet key security program and IT risk management requirements. The Fusion for SIEM team then works with the customer to develop a roadmap to address the gaps and advance the SIEM configuration through a series of consecutive projects, which fulfill the requirements in logical stages. Each stage is associated with a set of specific objectives, and progress is tracked through ongoing weekly, monthly and quarterly reports, which measure both maturity of the SIEM program, and improvements in the customer’s security posture over time. Because the service leverages a co-sourcing model, in which SIEM equipment resides on the customer premise, the customer retains control over their security data and their SIEM investment.
