Alison
Andrews,
Chief Executive
Officer
Alison Andrews
was appointed
CEO of Vigilant
in September 2005,
and brings over
a decade of experience
in developing
enterprise software
and security management
solutions to the
company. Most
recently, Ms.
Andrews was vice
president of professional
services for e-Security,
where she was
a trusted technical
advisor to multiple
Federal Agencies
and Fortune 50
clients, and where
services grew
54% annually under
her leadership.
Prior to e-Security,
Ms. Andrews served
as vice president
of professional
services and partner
management for
eGrail, an enterprise
provider of content
management software.
At eGrail, Ms.
Andrews was a
member of the
executive team
responsible for
restructuring
the company and
driving acquisition
by FileNet Corporation
in 2002. Previously,
she served as
vice president
of global education
services at MicroStrategy
(Nasdaq: MSTR),
a $250 million
enterprise software
company, where
she had full P&L
responsibility
for a $15M global
business with
more than 75 staff
operating in 10
countries. She
achieved six consecutive
years of 60% +
revenue growth
of services business
and 35% average
profit margin
during her tenure.
Ms. Andrews holds
a BA in Engineering
Sciences from
Dartmouth College.

Mark
Nicholson,
Chief
Operating Officer,
Co-Founder
Mark Nicholson
is the Chief Operating
Officer and co-founder
of Vigilant, where
he is responsible
for strategic
planning, day-to-day
operations, and
sales. Prior to
Vigilant, Mr.
Nicholson was
a Business Development
Manager at the
publicly traded,
New York-based
consulting firm
Predictive Systems.
There, Mark developed
Predictive’s
ISOC™ initiative,
a practice area
dedicated to building
Security Operations
Centers for enterprise
clients and Managed
Security Service
Providers (MSSPs).
Mark also spearheaded
the company’s
initiative to
develop a business
presence in the
mid-West, specifically
Chicago. Before
joining Predictive,
Mark managed New
York metropolitan
regional sales
for Top Layer
Networks, where
he consistently
achieved over
100% of quarterly
sales goals. Mark
has also held
sales positions
at Comdisco (Salesman
of the Year 1999)
and Cabletron
Systems (Rising
Star Award 1994).
During his undergraduate
studies, Mark
spent four months
working for CNN
in Washington,
DC on the program
“Crossfire”.
His undergraduate
studies focused
on the disciplines
of Journalism
and Political
Science. Mark
holds a BA from
Keene State College.

Joseph
Magee,
Chief Technology
Officer, Co-Founder
Joseph Magee
is the Chief Technology
Officer and co-founder
of Vigilant, where
he is responsible
for the implementation
and design of
integrated security
management systems
for Vigilant’s
Fortune 1000 customer
base. Previously,
Mr. Magee worked
at Top Layer Networks
as the company’s
Chief Security
Officer. In this
role, he worked
closely with Top
Layer’s
engineers on product
development and
provided strategic
consultation on
network security
implementations.
Additionally,
he was in charge
of all the information
assurance for
the company and
protecting its
intellectual property.
He has appeared
on CNN, Talk America,
and TechTV as
a network security
expert and his
speaking experience
includes DARPA,
SANS, Sector 5,
and CyberCrime
conferences. Prior
to Top Layer,
he was the information
security architect
at Datek Online,
where he was responsible
for the overall
protection of
the core systems
for this online
brokerage company,
including the
design of exterior
network defenses,
custom front-end
encryption schemes,
firewall and intrusion
detection auditing,
the protection
of all inbound
and outbound data
transmissions,
and routine perimeter
security assessments.
He is a frequent
expert witness
on issues of risk
management and
the threat of
“Cyber Attacks”.
Magee attended
Drexel University
where he studied
Commerce and Engineering
and Management
of Information
Systems.
