Alison Andrews, CEO

Alison Andrews joined Vigilant in 2005 with over a decade of experience building service delivery teams, developing enterprise software, and formulating security management solutions from the vantage point of business intelligence and SIEM technologies. She was formerly VP of professional services for e-Security (later acquired by Novell), with a track record of 54% annual growth. She led professional services and partner management at eGrail, and helped restructure the company for its acquisition by FileNet Corporation in 2002. As VP of global education services at MicroStrategy, she held P&L responsibility for a $15M global business unit operating in 10 countries, achieving six consecutive years of growth an average profit margin of 35%. Ms. Andrews holds a BA in Engineering Sciences from Dartmouth College.
   

Mark Nicholson, Co-Founder and COO

Mark Nicholson is responsible for financial, sales and service delivery operations. His founding vision for Vigilant grew out of his prior experience with Predictive Systems, an international boutique IT consultancy focused on security and infrastructure management. There, he played a leading role in launching the market’s first integrated SIEM-based security operations and monitoring solutions, and forged geographic expansion into new sales territories. Through 17 years of sales and sales management experience with Predictive, Top Layer Networks, Comdisco and Cabletron, he honed his skills in selling complex IT solutions and management of global accounts, integrating both services and product sales perspectives, and consistently over-achieving sales objectives. Mark holds a B.A. from Keene State College, where he studied journalism and political science.
   

Joseph Magee, Co-Founder and CTO

Joe Magee co-founded Vigilant with a passion for identifying, analyzing and averting security threats, rooted in his early years as a security architect for Datek Online, one of the first internet-based financial companies. As CSO for Top Layer Networks, he applied his practical technical knowledge to product management. As Vigilant’s CTO, Joe has become one of the industry’s leading SIEM practitioners, designing advanced monitoring solutions to detect fraud and other cybercrime. He participates in a variety of industry expert forums, and manages the ongoing evaluation of security technologies and best practices to ensure that Vigilant’s service offerings continually adapt to evolving threats, standards, and regulations. He attended Drexel University, where he studied Commerce & Engineering, and Management of Information Systems.
   

Bill Edwards, CISO

Bill Edwards joined Vigilant in 2009 to manage internal security program, act as executive consultant to Vigilant’s customer community, and develop services to solve C-level problems. Bill brings 18 years of experience leading security organizations in the financial services sector, most recently for TD Ameritrade, as chief security officer. He was an early pioneer of converged IT and physical security monitoring, and was the driving visionary behind some of the first fraud and money laundering detection programs leveraging SIEM technology. Comfortable in both the Board room and the operations center, Bill has managed M&A-driven architecture projects, transformed staffing models to drive efficiency and optimize budgets, and helped vendors develop leading security technologies to address the real-world challenges of large enterprises.
   

Beth Ruck, VP of Marketing & Strategic Alliances

Beth came to Vigilant in 2008 to direct market research and strategic marketing, branding, and alliance activities. Drawing on 15 years of cumulative knowledge in IT service and infrastructure management, security, and data center management, she has developed creative business development and go-to-market strategies that have generated multi-million-dollar service revenue streams for both professional services organizations and product companies, including Predictive Systems, International Network Services and InfoVista.
   

Marc Colon, Director of HR and Corporate Recruiting

Since 1997, Marc has worked for specialized IT staffing and integration companies placing technical talent for Fortune 100 companies in the NY Metro area. Marc joined Vigilant in 2007 to enable the company to achieve its growth and service quality targets by recruiting of high-end security talent, overseeing the on-boarding of Vigilant staff, and maintaining a rewarding work environment that promotes professional development and offers competitive compensation programs.
   

Isaac Kohn, Director of Professional Services

Isaac, currently in charge of on-site consulting services, has been with Vigilant since 2007. Leveraging broad experience leading security consulting and SIEM deployment projects, he plays a critical role in the ongoing developing of Vigilant’s field methodologies and best practices. Prior to serving with Vigilant, he led legal investigations into compliance, fraud, data privacy and intellectual property matters, which included preservation and preparation of forensic evidence for civil and criminal law enforcement actions.
   

Henry Li, Director of Fusion Services

Henry joined Vigilant in 2008 to develop the Fusion service offerings and run Vigilant’s managed service operations. He specializes in ITIL-based change and configuration management, skills which he honed through 10 years at Merrill Lynch running IT data and voice services. He has extensive experience managing audit processes, customer satisfaction and vendor relationships, and brings broad engineering expertise with a wide range of networking and security technologies.
